Joanne Golding
Provisional Psychologist
Jo is a Provisional Psychologist completing a Master and PhD in Clinical Psychology. She enjoys drawing from different therapeutic approaches to support clients across a wide range of concerns, and has experience working with trauma, parenting, grief, mood problems, anxiety, neurodiversity, and relationships. Jo is continuing to broaden her clinical experience, and looks forward to supporting clients with whatever they wish to explore in therapy.
Jo uses a genuine, compassionate, and person-centred approach, focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships and meeting clients where they are at. She believes trauma-informed practice and cultural safety are essential across all aspects of her work, and aims to support clients to make sense of their experiences and work towards their goals in a collaborative way.
Jo is committed to growing her knowledge and experience across the field of psychology, with a particular interest in alternative modalities such as medicine-assisted therapy, art therapy, and outdoor therapy. When she isn't working on her PhD, Jo loves swimming at the beach, spending time with friends and family, cooking (and eating!), reading, yoga, the gym, and hiking.
