Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Emile Touma is a consultant psychiatrist with more than ten years’ experience in mental health care. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and an accredited member of its Faculties of Adult and Addiction Psychiatry. He is also a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK).

His clinical work centres on mood disorders and addiction, alongside PTSD, psychotic disorders and aviation mental health. He takes a holistic approach that brings together psychotherapy, medication management and lifestyle change, with treatment plans shaped around each person.

As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, Dr Touma mentors the next generation of mental health professionals.
